Bryan Mathew “Mango” Douglas is a Local Pastor in the Dibe Church of the Nazarene on the Church of the Nazarene Trinidad & Tobago District.
Bryan is among those rare individuals who received Christ in mid-life, at age 44. As a young man Bryan had lived the life of a pleasure seeker, an illicit drug user, and a passionate sports enthusiast. As an avid cricket fan not even sickness could have kept him away from a Test Cricket Series or ODI (One Day International cricket match) at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, the most famous cricket ground in the Caribbean.
But GOD reached out and touched Bryan. In April of 1998, under the ministry of the Rev. Ralph Marshall, Bryan opened his heart to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, repented of his sins, and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. As a new born child of GOD, Bryan surrendered his past, present, and future to GOD to become a Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Since that time, the best cricketers could converge at the Oval, Bryan, now Bro. Douglas, has a new focus. GOD is now first in his life, and his days and nights are dedicated to the worship of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. His eyes are fixed upon the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus.
Over the last ten years, GOD has been pleased to use Bryan as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Secretary, Trustee, and Nazarene Missions International (NMI) Committee member. Apart from sharing the Word, Bryan currently serves as Head of Trustees, Chairman of the Dibe Learning Centre, and as an Usher within the local church. Bryan testifies that Jesus Christ is now his Alpha and Omega.
Bryan lives with his wife, Cheryl in the Dibe / Perigod Road Community; together they have raised two boys, Kibwe and Kwesi.
