DS Elected to National Evangelical Council

The Trinidad & Tobago District of the Church of the Nazarene extends congratulations to our District Superintendent Victor George on his election as 1st Vice-President of the Trinidad & Tobago Council of Evangelical Churches (TTCEC) for the term 2011 – 2013 at the Council’s AGM.

 

As 1st Vice President, DS Victor George will play a leading role in many of the initiatives of the TTCEC, including equipping T & T evangelicals to disciple their communities and voicing the concern of T & Tevangelicals on national issues.

 

The TTCEC, the umbrella body that represents Evangelicals (40 major denominations / Independent ministries) in Trinidad & Tobago, is listed at #12 on the official protocol list by the Government of Trinidad & Tobago and is a partner of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), the global alliance that represents over 400 million evangelicals.  The TTCEC seeks to serve and unite evangelicals in T & T for advancing the kingdom of GOD and to present a Biblical view on national issues. The President is Rev. Desmond Austin: Assistant Overseer, Open Bible Standard Churches T & T.

Pastors and Churches To Undergo Training

In an immense drive to strengthen our churches the District Office and Resource Center is hosting a three day refocusing exercise with New Church Specialties Trainer Rev Dr. Larry Cook.

 

From January 27th - 29th, Dr. Cook will train both Pastors and Laity to serve as Church Coaches. These individuals will play a pivotal role in helping churches to successfully align themselves towards a place of growth and powerful Kingdom impact.

 

Dr. Cook is a highly qualified trainer who after successfully pastoring a Nazarene Church in the US, branched into the area of Church Consultancy.

 

Dr. Cook will also work directly with individual church representatives; helping them to construct effective Mission and Vision Statements for their churches as well Core Values. For details call: 1-868-622-9552.
